ResponseLINK Approved by Washington State Department of Social & Health Services.
Now Provider of PERS (Personal Emergency Response Systems) to DSHS Clients.
Tempe, Arizona, August 28, 2007 -- ResponseLINK is extremely pleased to announce its approval by the Washington State Dept. of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and is now a contracted provider of PERS (Personal Emergency Response Systems) to all DSHS clients.
Established in 1973, the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Washington State’s older adult care-giving division, aims to provide services to seniors who wish to lead an active and independent lifestyle in the comfort of their own homes. The AAA also provides support to family and friends helping to care for older adults. Along with a host of services, AAA can assist in paying for the installation and monthly cost of a Personal Emergency Response System such as ResponseLINK for a qualified client.
The ResponseLINK home medical alert system includes a lightweight, waterproof, medical alert pendant and a state-of-the-art two-way communication panel that affords seniors the security of immediate contact with the ResponseLINK monitoring center and emergency personnel. Seconds after an emergency, the medical alert system sends a signal to the monitoring center. ResponseLINK's trained staff stays on the line with the customer until the emergency has been handled, a service unique to ResponseLINK. If necessary, ResponseLINK's operators will contact the customer's loved ones with up-to-the-minute information on the customer's condition and location. A Spanish-labeled voice unit has also been developed and is now being offered.
