ResponseLINK Approved by the Massachusetts' Department of Public Health:
Now a Preferred Providers of PERS (Personal Emergency Response Systems)
(PRWEB) July 19, 2007 -- ResponseLINK is extremely pleased to announce its approval by the Massachusetts' Department of Public Health and is now one of the preferred providers of PERS (Personal Emergency Response Systems) to the state of MA
Following a change of ownership in June of 2006, ResponseLINK was required to re-apply for approval despite a three-year spotless business record as a MassHealth PERS provider. ResponseLINK demonstrated its excellence in customer care, service, and corporate citizenship by continuing to provide approximately 130 MA Health recipients with free service during the reapplication period.
MassHealth referrals will be taken from anywhere in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and will be installed within 24 to 48 hours upon receipt. This dramatically cuts down on delays of up to three whole weeks as other providers first obtain pre-approval from MA Health before installation.
The ResponseLINK home medical alert system includes a lightweight, waterproof, medical alert pendant and a state-of-the-art two-way communication panel
that affords seniors the security of immediate contact with the ResponseLINK monitoring center
and emergency personnel. Seconds after an emergency, the medical alert system sends a signal to
the monitoring center. ResponseLINK's trained staff stays on the line with the customer until
the emergency has been handled, a service unique to ResponseLINK. If necessary, ResponseLINK's
operators will contact the customer's loved ones with up-to-the-minute information on the
customer's condition and location. A Spanish-labeled voice unit has also been developed and is
now being offered.
